Brad 2007-04:
1. Breakfast In America - Supertramp
Recently popularized by the Gym Class Heroes "cover", in which the Supertramp lyric is sung by Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump.
2. Ruby - Kaiser Chiefs
Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Rubay!
3. Tomorrow - Silverchair
My fiancee's iPod recently dusted off this 90s hit. The lyrics can be laughable, but the song is heavy with hooks.
4. Heaven - I Monster
I hunted this one down after hearing about 10 seconds of it on a shoe sale commercial.
5. Lazarus - Placebo
This B-side was added to the re-release of Meds, and it's just as great as the rest of the album.
6. Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie
A classic Bowie song about his alter ego.
7. I'm Not Worried At All - Moby
More of what Moby does best. This album has several great tracks in this vein.
BONUS SONG: Dig around the web for "Boll Weevil" by the late Greg Hale Jones. This song was a regular favorite of mine on the now defunct MP3.com, and almost surely inspirational to Moby.
